| Sophie Bourget, BSc., PT, M.C.P.A |

Sophie graduated with a BSc., PT from
Laval University in 1995. She has taken numerous post-graduate
courses in orthopedic physiotherapy, mostly in the areas of
manual and manipulative therapy, and is working towards receiving
her Diploma of Intermediate Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative
Physiotherapy with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
After graduating from University, Sophie
worked in the State of Missouri (United States) for almost
3 years, for Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Centre, and for
the Health and Fitness Center attached to the Hospital. She
moved to Ontario and opened her first clinic, York Region
Physiotherapy and Rehab Inc., in the year 2000 and began offering
physiotherapy services to the residents of King City.
Once it became known about the quality of
care provided by York Region Physiotherapy, and recognizing
that many clients were coming from the surrounding areas,
Sophie decided to open a second clinic in the town of Newmarket
in the year 2002.
Now with two locations, York Region Physiotherapy
is better able to serve a growing population. Sophie believes
in quality of care, and is determined to continue providing
the best services possible.

Greg Bakker, BHSc., (P.T.), M.C.P.A - Athletic Trainer Certified |

Greg graduated from McMaster University
with a BH.Sc.
(P.T.) in the year 2001. In 1997 Greg received a B.Sc.
from Mercyhurst College ( Erie, Pennsylvannia ) in Sports
Medicine emphasizing Athletic Therapy. He worked as a
Head Athletic Trainer for Health South Rehab Hospital and
Sports Medicine Facility from 1997 to 1999.
Greg has taken numerous post-graduate courses
in orthopedic physiotherapy, mostly in the areas of manual
and manipulative therapy, and is working towards receiving
his Diploma of Intermediate Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative
Physiotherapy with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
He also has training in sports taping,
bracing and casting for custom foot orthotics. In his free
time, Greg loves playing hockey, golf and baseball as well
as spending time at his cottage.

Sean Hercun, B.Sc.P.T. |

After completing an Honours B.Sc. in Kinesiology
in 2000, Sean attained his B.Sc. in Physiotherapy from the
University of Western Ontario in 2003.
Since graduating, Sean has completed many
post-graduate courses and is currently working towards obtaining
his Diploma of Intermediate Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative
Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
He has taken the FitForeGolf series of courses as he has a
keen interest in treating and preventing golf-related injuries.
Sean has enjoyed providing on-field coverage
for rugby teams both at the university and high school levels,
as well as on-ice coverage and Physiotherapy treatment at
the Junior “A” hockey level. Sean is an avid golfer
and enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his wife
and newborn son.

Derek Jurecki M.Sc., RMT, Certified Acupuncturist |

Along with being a Registered Massage
Therapist, Derek is also a Certified Acupuncturist and has
been practicing since 1997. Derek graduated with honors from
Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy ( CCMH ) and
Holt School of Natural Healing.
He has shared his clinical experience and
knowledge with the students of CCMH, where he has been a teacher
and clinic supervisor. Derek approaches every case on an individual
basis and takes into consideration a number of factors in
order to achieve the best goals for the client. Derek is a
member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
