voted York Region Physiotherapy and Rehab Inc.
top honors by choosing Sophie Bourget BScPT, MCPA
and Karen Rupke BScPT, RCAMT, MCPA best
physiotherapists in the 2006 Readers choice awards. Sophie
opened the first location of York Region Physiotherapy
and Rehab Inc., in the year 2000 and began offering physiotherapy
services to the residents of King City. Once it became
known about the quality of care provided by York Region
Physiotherapy, and recognizing that many clients were
coming from the surrounding areas, Sophie decided to open
a second clinic in the town of Newmarket in the year 2002.
The clinic’s reputation and success for helping
clients became rapidly known to the local community, and
that same year YRPR received its first readers choice
award in the category of “best physiotherapist”.
York Region Physiotherapy and Rehab is
committed to providing high quality, uncompromising
care with a special emphasis on manual therapy and direct
patient care. Sophie and her team of health professionals
help patients suffering from orthopedic conditions and
sports injuries, neck and back pain, tendonitis, bursitis,
sprains, arthritis and more. Athletic therapy, taping,
custom foot orthotics, bracing, acupuncture and massage
therapy are also offered.
